°15/07/1964, Ostend
A true Ostend native – with strong connections to Bredene – with a nose for humor and a heart for music. His career began with street theater, but he soon went solo and made it to the finals of the very first Humo Comedy Cup in 1998. Since then, Jan Cattrijsse has become a fixture in the Flemish comedy world, known for his unique style that combines humor and music. He hosted the radio program Captain Huvluv on Radio 2, starred in Eigen Kweek, and wrote both a comic strip and a novel. His love for vinyl records plays a central role in his shows, where he tells relatable stories, infused with nostalgia and coastal life. Whether it’s comedy, radio, television, or writing, Piv Huvluv always manages to surprise and touch his audience. In the mood for nonsense? Piv is your comedian!
