Matthieu Bonne, born in Oostende and living in Bredene, is an ultra-athlete who doesn’t shy away from extreme challenges. With three world records in swimming, running, and cycling, he has established his name in the world of extreme sports.
His most iconic achievement? As the first ever, he swam the entire Belgian coast non-stop, from De Panne to Knokke-Heist, covering 74.64 km. After a failed attempt due to a storm, he completed the challenge on his second try in 23 hours, 3 minutes and 55 seconds. Matthieu’s toughest victory turned out to be one of his most beautiful. He donated half of the collected support to Make-A-Wish, not only pushing boundaries but also touching hearts.
What’s next for this boundless perseverer? One thing is certain: for Matthieu Bonne, the impossible is always within reach.
