A versatile Flemish television and radio presenter, actor, and author with a rich career in the media. He began his career in 1980 with the music program “Hitring”, where he stood out with his alter ego Raphaël Goossens. Later, he presented popular programs such as “Namen Noemen” and “De Drie Wijzen”. Besides his work on television and radio, Van Eeghem is also active as a writer. In 2023, he published “Oostende in the Belle Époque”, a book in which he takes the reader back to Oostende’s heyday at the beginning of the 20th century.
In this book, he highlights why artists like James Ensor chose to stay in Oostende, and paints a vivid picture of the city as a vibrant meeting place for the elite. Van Eeghem’s versatility extends to the theater, where he has been active with various companies since 1975. His rich career and contributions to Flemish culture make him an influential figure in the media landscape.
