With their passion and vision, Jan Mortelmans and Kevin Beirens have firmly put Oostende on the map. Jan, as DJ Yamo, brought experience from the iconic Ghent club Decadance, while Kevin contributed his expertise from the hospitality industry. Their first joint success was the Krush Club in Oostende, a hotspot where renowned DJs loved to play.
In 2010, they brought even more shine to Oostende with the creation of Ostend Beach Festival. What started as a dream grew into one of Belgium’s most beloved music festivals. On the beach of Oostende, no less.
Besides the festival, Kevin runs the popular hospitality establishment Histoire d’O on the seafront.
This duo continues to make Oostende thrive with their dedication and creativity.
