Herr Seele, born as Peter van Heirseele, is a true Ostend legend. Together with Kamagurka, he created the iconic comic strip Cowboy Henk, which gained him a cult status worldwide. But Herr Seele is much more than a comic artist: he is a versatile artist, a passionate music lover, and a dedicated collector of historical pianos, which he carefully restores and tunes.
His creative influence can be felt throughout Ostend, from colorful murals to cultural projects that give the city extra character. We are therefore proud to collaborate with him for The Ostendian. He designed the unique drawings that adorn our branding and gave the ‘Herr Seele Suite‘ an irresistible film noir atmosphere, with impressive black and white murals as the eye-catcher.
