Bart Van den Bossche was born in Ostend, but grew up in Kortrijk. He developed a passion for music early on and learned to play guitar during his high school years. After his studies at the Brussels Conservatory and Studio Herman Teirlinck in Antwerp, he began his career as a singer. His musical style was a mix of cabaret and pop, with a cheerful and accessible appeal. His breakthrough came in the early ’90s with the hit “De heuveltjes van Erika”, a song that quickly became a classic in Flanders. His style was strongly influenced by artists such as Johan Verminnen and Raymond van het Groenewoud.
In addition to his music career, Bart was a well-known television and radio presenter. He presented programs such as “Videodinges” and “Puzzeltijd” on VTM and contributed to radio programs on Radio 1 and Radio 2. His unexpected passing was a great loss to the Flemish music and media world.
