Since 2004, together with his wife Vannessa, the driving force behind Café Manuscript, a staple in Ostend’s nightlife scene. Located on Langestraat, this iconic music and beer pub is the place where rock, blues, jazz, and folk converge. Glenn breathes music. He has played in bands such as Revenge 88, Marky Ramone The Speedkings, and Thin Line Men, and was a loyal musical companion of fellow Ostendian Frank Dubbe.
It is no coincidence that Manuscript was at the cradle of many music stories: bands like Triggerfinger, The Delta Saints, The War on Drugs, The Goo Goo Dolls, and Admiral Freebee played here long before they broke through. Familiar faces like Arno, Marcel Vanthilt, and Jan Leyers also like to stop by for a pint. Fun fact: In 2018, the Ostend chocolatier and Ostendian Olivier Willems won the title of ‘Best Praline of Belgium’ with his “PoppoLou Rocks”. This praline is made from Glenn’s own Ostend beer PoppoLou.
